I will not fly again until
they give this bullshit a rest
or the rivers all run dry
which ever fucking comes first
Land of song say the Warrior Bards Though all the world betrays thee. One sword, at least, Thy Rights Shall Guard, And one faithful harp shall praise Thee.

You're not alone in that feeling, sir. I'd rather spend several days driving somewhere than go to an airport.
the most inspiring thing i took from my traveling this week was that the mood of the nation was one of irritation, of stoic endurance of the long lines and stupid "security" shitheads, but not one of fear. there is a ground level skepticism of the administration's motives and operations that i hope sustains through november.
I haven't flown in almost 5 years, since my brother-in-law's funeral in October 2001, and I won't fly again as long as my dogs are alive. I am not willing to take the risk that they could be left without a guardian because of the government's stupidity and cavalier disregard for people's lives.
I agree with the sentiment. Nice choice of illustration, too. Hey, Lewis & Clark never needed no flying machine to explore America.
nope, they didn't. the whole thing is so obviously timed to the politics and polls (remember when bush claimed to not run things by the polls?) that for us folks in line trying to get somewhere the mood was decidedly surly and unconvinced that the administration is doing anything but fucking with us needlessly.
