Land of song say the Warrior Bards
Though all the world betrays thee.
One sword, at least, Thy Rights Shall Guard,
And one faithful harp shall praise Thee.

Sarah Silverman: Last Laugh '05
i have seen this several times, it always makes me laugh out loud. i appreciate the brazeness of her comedy. she consistently goes too far. and that's where she likes to be.
yes indeed, that's when i really became a fan of her. the aristocrats is about a joke that goes too far, and out of all the people in the film who riffed on the joke, she took it too fucking far. fearless genius. this bit was originally in jesus is magic she's great. sometimes she misses but she goes right on with it.
comedy is a very personal art form. that's what makes it appealing to me. she cracks me up even when i see the punch coming. but, if she doesn't reach you it just means that. it doesn't mean she isn't funny, hell, carrot top is still a headliner. . .i thought the whole disco/amazing grace/trio with her pussy and butt was extreme funny. in no small part because by choosing the iconic hymn to lampoon she was already in deep water.
I thought it was funny, but not quite as extraordinary as you. That's OK, of course, as comedy is intensely personal. How many times have you and member of your family gone into laughing convulsions over something your friends and neighbors would have considered packets of insanity? Pushing the envelope is good.
