Land of song say the Warrior Bards
Though all the world betrays thee.
One sword, at least, Thy Rights Shall Guard,
And one faithful harp shall praise Thee.
The first time I heard these two together (with Dolly Parton, for whom I do not normally care) I thought I'd discovered what it sounds like when angels sing.
Currently Reading: Against the Day - Thomas Pynchon (still slogging through) Just started "The Reluctant Fundamentalist" by Mosin Hamid.

They're the best. 'Nuff said.
Chicken Skin!
The music and the words reach out and shake me to the core.
Thanks
Ken

"..when angels sing..."
Been in love ever since ...
Thank you, Minstrel Boy. I needed that.
That song has always had a special place in my heart. Prolly cuz it clearly explains the unconditional love we have for our children.
