Notes from the Bandstand

Front Man:

When the band starts to swing with this I want you to really come in with the bottleneck.

Me:

Wouldn't it be safer for you to just point at me?

here is another from the band stand. Green Broke (john cowan on bass john moore on mandolin Dennis Caplinger on banjo) john cowan was the bass player for new grass revival for 16 years john moore and dennis are left coast guys that get a lot of studio work. brad is just a grasser but spent some years playing for Marty Stuart and then on to Sam Bush and his band.

Enjoy,

HD, unfortunately our filters block streaming vids, including everything from youtube and all the other sites you post what I'm sure are excellent music vids. New grass was an incredible group (and I assume still are with some personnel changes). Drat.

i gots no filters like that. gracias mi amigo. i remembers john and dennis well from the studios. we used to call dennis "the jimi hendrix of the five string banjo." that's some good stuff. i'm working with my far more tech savvy nephew on the mechanix of posting my 5 string version of "joy to the world" for christmas.

pogo,

do you have an email addy you would post and I could send you the URL on youtube.com?

New Grass Revival does not exist any more. Sam Bush is off doing his own thing as is Bela Fleck and John Cowan is doing his on gigs and I dont know what happened to that guitar player.

here is an idea: send tiptoe an email with the directions to forward your email to me. She has done that at least once that I know of. She is democrat9000 at yahoo.com or you could just go to youtube and search "Green Broke".

HD, thanks. I'll try it, but I doubt it will help. I can get to youtube, but our firewall has a filter that blocks it - it's how they have tried to control bandwidth use to keep our system from becoming too slow duringbusiness hours. It does that to a number of sites that have videos, some audios, and even a few photo sites. Thanks anyway.
