As for Jole Blon, after hearing a dozen different variations from a dozen different Cajun bands during my stay in Louisiana, I have trouble knowing which to call the best, though for sentimental reasons Clifton Chenier's version is probably my favorite because I last saw Clifton when he was so sick he could barely squeeze his accordion, and he died shortly afterwards....
