I respectfully disagree with the woman from San Francisco. We need to tie the Busheviks in knots as much as possible over these next six months or they're going to start another war. If holding impeachment proceedings does that... needless to say, I am 100% behind Dennis Kucinich doing this and think Nancy Pelosi is a putz.

i disagree with the woman from san francisco too tux. probably not as respectfully as you. i'm a pitchfork and angry peasant kind of mood lately.
I am very proud of Kucinich. Today, they skewer you in the press if you show the pluck of our Founders, because you are stepping out of line, and not respecting the good lady with the gavel.
Good for him.
I don't care how impractical impeachment may be, we are in greater danger if we let CheneyBush get away with his utter contempt for the Constitution. If Congress is unwilling to fulfill its responsibility, then we go to The Hague.
I also disagree with Speaker Pelosi. I realize impeachment would not accomplish the desired objective of removing the war criminals from office, but for Congress to do nothing but sit on its hands is worse.
It unavoidably means they acquiesce to the unforgivable.
It's the sort of thing we will all pay for in the future when another "president" comes along who insists upon the exercising the same unconstitutional powers this one has claimed.
You cannot tolerate or ignore a president who insists upon the right to make up the law as he goes along!

I just loved Dennis' response to a moderator in an early Democratic Presidential debate.
Moderator: Mr. Kucinich, I see you're only one up here who voted against the Patriot Act.
Kucinich: I read it!
